The NYChillharmonic is a female-fronted, Brooklyn-based, 18-piece, progressive-rock orchestra. Their lavish music is an ensemble sound that fuses multiple genres and sonically embraces experimental textures, arrangements, and harmonies. It’s easy to trace their influence back to the wildly syncopated art-rock of the early 70s, although the compositions also draw on classical music, big band jazz, Radiohead, classic soul music, and even disco. The band frequently tours internationally as a rhythm section, and sources local horn and string players from their hosting cities. They have performed at world-renowned festivals, along with The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Joe’s Pub.
